Wenzhou Port is located along the coast of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China and in the Oujiang River Basin. It is a national first-class open port and one of the major ports in the country. The port is jointly managed by Hangzhou Customs (Wenzhou Customs), Zhejiang Maritime Bureau (Wenzhou Maritime Bureau), and Wenzhou Transportation Bureau, and operated by Wenzhou Port Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhejiang Seaport Group. Relying on the integrated development strategy of ports in Zhejiang Province, Wenzhou Port has become an important comprehensive seaport and gateway to the outside world in southern Zhejiang, playing an important role in the regional shipping system. Wenzhou Port is located on the southeast coast of China, bordered by Ningbo Zhoushan Port to the north and Fujian coastal ports to the south. Relying on the mouth of the Oujiang River and the natural harbor of Wenzhou Bay, it has formed a pattern of coordinated development between seaports and river ports. The port is closely connected to the manufacturing hinterland of southern Zhejiang, northern Fujian, and eastern Jiangxi through comprehensive transportation networks such as Shenhai Expressway, Yongtaiwen Railway, and Jinwen Railway. It is an important hub for regional foreign trade exports, energy transportation, and industrial logistics. At present, Wenzhou Port has formed a port area layout mainly consisting of Zhuangyuan'ao Port Area, Leqing Bay Port Area, Xiaomen Island Port Area, and Oujiang Port Area. Zhuangyuan'ao Port Area is a core port area for container transportation, undertaking foreign and domestic container business, and providing convenient international logistics services for Wenzhou's characteristic industries such as footwear, eyewear, pumps and valves, and electrical equipment; Yueqing Bay Port Area relies on the advantage of deep water coastline, focusing on the development of bulk cargo transportation such as coal and ore, and building a sea rail intermodal transportation system; The Xiaomen Island Port Area mainly serves the transportation of petrochemicals, liquid bulk cargo, and energy, and has specialized loading and unloading capabilities for liquid chemicals and liquefied natural gas; The Oujiang Port Area undertakes comprehensive services such as general cargo, domestic trade transportation, and urban logistics. In recent years, Wenzhou Port has continued to promote the construction of a smart port, improving customs supervision, electronic ports, and bonded logistics systems. Relying on the Wenzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the port can provide container transportation, bonded warehousing, LCL (Less than Container Load) unpacking, roll on/roll off truck transportation, cross-border e-commerce logistics, and comprehensive supply chain services, continuously improving the port's operational efficiency and international logistics service capabilities. In terms of air route network, Wenzhou Port has opened close ocean routes covering Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and other regions, and has formed close coordination with Ningbo Zhoushan Port through branch transportation, achieving the connection of ocean routes and providing convenient international transportation channels for enterprises in southern Zhejiang. At the same time, the port actively develops river sea intermodal transportation, sea rail intermodal transportation, and open sea intermodal transportation, relying on the Yueqing Bay railway branch line and regional railway network to extend logistics services to central and western regions such as Jiangxi, Hunan, and Hubei, further enhancing the port's hinterland radiation capacity.
