Port Introduction

Luzhou Port is located in Longmatan District, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Tuo River. It is a national first-class open port, an important comprehensive inland port in Sichuan Province, and an important shipping hub in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Relying on the construction of the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, the Sichuan Free Trade Zone South Sichuan Port Area, and the Western Land Sea New Channel, Luzhou Port has become an important river sea intermodal and iron rail intermodal logistics node in Sichuan and Southwest China, playing an important role in serving the opening up of Southwest China to the outside world. Luzhou Port is constructed and operated under the overall planning of Sichuan Port and Shipping Investment Group Co., Ltd. The core operating area is an international container terminal, supported by major cargo terminals, liquid chemical terminals, and comprehensive bulk cargo terminals, forming a comprehensive port system integrating containers, bulk cargo, major cargo, liquid chemical, commercial vehicles, and bonded logistics. The port area has modern loading and unloading equipment, railway dedicated lines, and bonded warehousing facilities, which can provide comprehensive logistics services such as container loading and unloading, transshipment, warehousing and distribution, bonded logistics, and multimodal transport. It continues to promote the construction of smart ports and green ports, and improve the efficiency of port operations. As an important gateway for foreign trade and water transportation in Sichuan Province, Luzhou Port actively promotes customs clearance facilitation measures such as port of departure tax refund, water transportation integration, and ship side direct pickup, relying on the Sichuan Free Trade Pilot Zone, Chuannan Port Area, and Comprehensive Bonded Zone, to provide more efficient international logistics services for enterprises in the southwest region. The port mainly serves equipment manufacturing, energy and chemical industry, Baijiu, new materials, auto parts, grain processing and other industries, and is an important logistics platform for the export of Sichuan manufactured products and the import of bulk raw materials. In terms of route layout, Luzhou Port has formed a transportation network covering the Yangtze River trunk line and domestic coastal ports. Container liners can connect to international shipping hubs such as Shanghai Port and Taicang Port through ports such as Chongqing, Wuhan, and Nanjing, achieving river sea intermodal transportation. After completing customs clearance in Luzhou, goods can be transferred to ocean going vessels through the Yangtze River route for export overseas, effectively reducing logistics costs for enterprises in the southwest region. Relying on the Longhuang Railway, Chengdu Chongqing Railway, and expressway network, Luzhou Port continuously improves its intermodal transportation system and is one of the important nodes of the Western Land Sea New Corridor. By railway, it can connect ports in the Beibu Gulf such as Qinzhou Port and Fangcheng Port in Guangxi, forming a dual channel logistics pattern of "Yangtze River eastward export" and "southward export", providing more flexible international logistics options for regions such as Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, and Yunnan. At the same time, the port actively develops the regional logistics distribution function, and undertakes the distribution transportation of mineral resources, chemical products, grain, Baijiu and equipment manufacturing products in the southwest. In recent years, Luzhou Port has continued to promote the integration of port resources, the construction of smart ports, and the development of multimodal transport, continuously improving port and shipping infrastructure and modern logistics system. With multiple advantages such as the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, the Western Land Sea New Channel, the Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Luzhou Port has developed into an important modern comprehensive port in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and an important water transportation gateway for Sichuan Province's opening up to the outside world. It plays an important strategic role in promoting the construction of the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle, the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the construction of the Western Land Sea New Channel.
