ZHAPU/Zhapu# Port nature: Gulf Port# Longitude and latitude: 30 ° 35 ′ N, 121 ° 05 ′ E# Located on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay in the northeast coast of Zhejiang Province, China (full name: THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA), 74 miles south of Ningbo Port and 122 miles north of Shanghai Port, adjacent to the west side of the East China Sea, it is a transit port in the northeast of Zhejiang Province and an important gateway for external economic and cultural exchanges in northern Zhejiang. Located between Shanghai and Hangzhou, adjacent to Shanghai Pudong Development Zone, the coastline is connected to Jinshanzui in Shanghai. The port has comparative advantages in terms of collection and transportation conditions, with a railway distance of 40km from the Shanghai Railway and highways connecting the Shanghai Hangzhou Highway, Zhajia (Xing) Su (Zhou) Highway, and the East China Highway; The inland river connects with the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal and the Huangpu River. Hong Kong is a Class II port open to the outside world, capable of handling international shipping services. The economic hinterland includes Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou, as well as some areas in southern Jiangsu and southern Anhui. This region is known as the "Capital of Silk" and the "Land of Fish and Rice". It is one of the more developed regions in the East China Economic Zone. The main industries include light industry, wool spinning, papermaking, woolen fabric, electrical appliances, cement, and building materials. Agriculture is mainly based on grain and is an important commodity grain based industry in China. In addition to supplying Shanghai and the coastal areas of Zhejiang, it is also exported to African and Southeast Asian countries. The port has a subtropical monsoon climate, with prevailing southeast winds. The annual average temperature is 15.7 ℃. Affected by typhoons less frequently and for a shorter duration. There are 25 days of annual fog, concentrated in the winter and spring seasons. The average annual rainfall is about 1200mm. It is an irregular semi diurnal tidal port with an average tidal range of 4.48m. There are currently 25 dock berths in the port area, with a total shoreline length of 1750m, including 5 berths of 10000 tons. The Chenshan crude oil terminal of Shanghai Jinshan Petrochemical Plant in the offshore port area has two berths of 25000 tons. The maximum lifting capacity of a single machine in the loading and unloading equipment is 16 tons. The port area has a warehouse area of 9000m ∧<2>and a yard area of 7500m ∧<2>. The annual cargo throughput capacity is about 5 million tons, of which crude oil accounts for 2/3. In addition to crude oil, the main import and export goods include cement, grain, fertilizers, steel, chemical raw materials, coal, and bamboo. Mainly providing industrial and agricultural production and foreign trade transportation services in the Hangzhou Jiaxing Huzhou region. During holidays, the statutory holidays are New Year's Day, Labor Day, National Day (October 1-2), and Spring Festival (January 1-3 in the lunar calendar). On Sundays, the holiday will be postponed by one day or compensated.
