Port Introduction

Yangjiang Port is located in Hailing Bay, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, China. It is a national first-class open port and an important component of Guangdong's coastal port layout. The port is jointly managed by Guangzhou Customs (Yangjiang Customs), Guangdong Maritime Bureau (Yangjiang Maritime Bureau), and Yangjiang Transportation Bureau. It is mainly constructed and operated by Yangjiang Port Co., Ltd., relevant enterprises of Guangdong Port and Shipping Group, and specialized terminal operators. Yangjiang Port is located along the western coast of Guangdong Province, with excellent natural deep-water harbor conditions in Hailing Bay. The waterway and berths can meet the berthing needs of large sea vessels, making it an important deep-water port in western Guangdong. The port relies on the Shenhai Expressway, Guangtai Expressway, and regional railway network to maintain convenient connections with the Pearl River Delta and Southwest regions. It plays an important role in energy transportation, industrial logistics, and foreign trade in the western port system of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The port has formed a development pattern centered on the Jishu operation area in Hailing Bay Port Area. The Jishu operation area has modern deep-water berths and large-scale loading and unloading equipment, focusing on the transportation of containers, bulk cargo, general cargo, and major equipment, serving the development of industries near Yangjiang Port. The port area is surrounded by industries such as stainless steel, new materials, equipment manufacturing, grain and oil processing, and offshore wind power, providing stable supply support for the port. The Fengtou Port Area under planning and construction will further expand its comprehensive service capabilities and enhance the level of regional logistics support. Relying on comprehensive port facilities and customs supervision system, Yangjiang Port has the service capabilities of container transportation, ore and coal loading and unloading, liquid bulk cargo, bonded warehousing, multimodal transport, and integrated logistics. Among them, the port has become an important import base for stainless steel industry raw materials and a transportation base for offshore wind power equipment in China. It has strong professional advantages in the fields of laterite nickel ore, steel raw materials, and transportation of major equipment, providing logistics support for advanced manufacturing and clean energy industries in South China. In terms of shipping routes, Yangjiang Port has opened a transportation network covering domestic coastal and international routes. Bulk cargo routes connect mineral resource export regions such as Southeast Asia and Australia, while container business is developed in coordination with hub ports in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area such as Guangzhou Port and Shenzhen Port through a barge network, achieving international ocean transportation connectivity. Relying on the regional railway and highway network, the port actively promotes multimodal transport modes such as iron rail intermodal transport and open sea intermodal transport, further expanding its logistics radiation capacity to western Guangdong, Guangxi, and southwestern regions. In recent years, with the continuous promotion of the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the development of the Guangdong Coastal Economic Belt, Yangjiang Port has continuously improved its deep-water terminal, smart port, and comprehensive logistics system, and its overall competitiveness has continued to enhance. Relying on superior deep-water coastline resources, port industry foundation, and modern port facilities, Yangjiang Port has developed into an important comprehensive deep-water port in western Guangdong and one of the important ports connecting the international shipping network along the southern coast of China.
