Port Introduction

The Port of Zhangzhou is located along the coast of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, China. It is a national first-class open port and an important component of the coastal port layout in Fujian Province. The port standard code is CNZZU, jointly managed by Xiamen Customs (Zhangzhou Customs), Fujian Maritime Bureau (Zhangzhou Maritime Bureau), and Zhangzhou Transportation Bureau. It is mainly operated by enterprises such as Fujian Port Group and Zhangzhou Port Group. Zhangzhou Port is located on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait, adjacent to Xiamen Port, and has excellent deep-water coastline resources. It is an important comprehensive coastal port in the southern Fujian region. The port relies on the Shenhai Expressway, Xiamen Zhangzhou Cross Sea Bridge, Yingxia Railway, and regional port road network to maintain efficient connectivity with Xiamen Special Economic Zone, Fujian Southwest Coordinated Development Zone, and eastern Guangdong region. It plays an important role in serving the port industry, energy transportation, and economic and trade cooperation with Taiwan. At present, Zhangzhou Port has formed a port pattern of coordinated development among Gulei Port Area, Zhaoyin Port Area, Houshi Port Area, Dongshan Port Area and other port areas. Among them, Gulei Port Area relies on the national level Gulei Petrochemical Base, focusing on the development of crude oil, liquid chemical industry, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and bulk cargo transportation, and is an important energy and petrochemical logistics base in Fujian Province; Zhaoyin Port District is adjacent to the south bank of Xiamen Bay and undertakes container, general cargo, and roll on/roll off transportation businesses, forming complementary advantages with Xiamen Port; Houshi Port mainly serves the transportation of electricity, energy, coal, and bulk cargo; Dongshan Port Area relies on natural deep-water harbors to develop bulk cargo, fisheries, and regional logistics transportation, jointly building a modern port system. Relying on the Gulei Development Zone, Zhangzhou Development Zone, and surrounding industrial parks, Zhangzhou Port has comprehensive service capabilities in container transportation, bulk cargo, liquid chemicals, energy materials, general cargo, and bonded logistics, providing port and shipping support for petrochemical, new materials, equipment manufacturing, food processing, and modern logistics industries. The port area is equipped with bonded warehousing, dangerous goods logistics, supply chain services, and modern port logistics facilities, and its comprehensive service capabilities continue to improve. In terms of route construction, Zhangzhou Port has formed a transportation network covering domestic coastal areas and major international ports. The port has opened international routes to Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea and other regions, and closely cooperates with Xiamen Port through feeder transportation to connect major global ocean routes. At the same time, the port actively promotes the construction of sea rail intermodal transportation, open sea intermodal transportation, and river sea intermodal transportation, strengthens the connection with logistics networks in inland Fujian and southern China, and further expands the radiation range of the port hinterland. In recent years, Zhangzhou Port has continuously promoted the construction of smart and green ports, accelerated the construction of deep-water terminals, digital logistics platforms, and intelligent port and shipping management systems, and continuously improved the operational efficiency and service level of the port. Relying on the integration of Fujian port resources, Gulei petrochemical industry cluster and the development opportunities of the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait, Zhangzhou Port has developed into an important comprehensive deep-water port in southern Fujian, as well as an important port connecting the west side of the Taiwan Strait, serving cross-strait economic and trade cooperation and the construction of the "the Belt and Road".
