Port Introduction

Jiujiang Port is located in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It is a national first-class open port and also the largest and most comprehensive inland port in Jiangxi Province with the most complete functions. The port is located on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, connecting the golden waterway of the Yangtze River, the Poyang Lake water system, and the Beijing Kowloon Railway. It is an important gateway for connecting the Yangtze River and the sea in Jiangxi Province, as well as an important hub for river sea and iron rail intermodal transportation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the central region. Jiujiang Port is managed and operated by Jiangxi Port Group Co., Ltd. The core port areas include Chengxi Port Area, Chengdong Port Area, Hukou Port Area, Ruichang Port Area, and Pengze Port Area. Among them, Chengxi Port Area undertakes container transportation and foreign trade logistics functions, and is the main container port area in Jiangxi Province; Hukou Port Area and Pengze Port Area rely on the mineral and energy industries to focus on the development of bulk cargo transportation such as coal, iron ore, and building materials; Chengdong Port Area provides services for petrochemical and liquid bulk cargo businesses; Ruichang Port Area mainly undertakes equipment manufacturing, building materials, and transportation of miscellaneous goods, forming a comprehensive port system for coordinated development of multiple port areas. Relying on the 152 kilometer deep water coastline of the Yangtze River and complete port facilities, Jiujiang Port has various specialized terminals for container, bulk cargo, general cargo, liquid chemical, and bonded logistics. It can provide comprehensive port and shipping services such as container loading and unloading, bulk commodity warehousing, transshipment and reloading, bonded logistics, and supply chain services. The port area is equipped with modern loading and unloading equipment, railway dedicated lines, and intelligent logistics management systems, continuously promoting the construction of green and smart ports, and improving port operation efficiency. As an important foreign trade port in Jiangxi Province, Jiujiang Port undertakes the majority of the province's waterway foreign trade cargo transportation tasks, and is closely linked to industries such as automobile manufacturing, copper processing, steel, petrochemicals, building materials, and new energy. It is an important support platform for the development of Jiangxi's port related industries. At the same time, relying on the Jiujiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the Pilot Free Trade Zone, the port actively promotes the development of international logistics, cross-border trade, bonded warehousing and other businesses, and continuously enhances its ability to provide open economic services. In terms of route layout, Jiujiang Port has formed a transportation network covering the Yangtze River and major coastal ports in China. Container liners can directly reach important ports along the Yangtze River such as Shanghai Port, Taicang Port, Nanjing Port, and Wuhan Port, and connect to the global shipping network through international hub ports such as Shanghai Port, achieving convenient customs clearance modes such as "one declaration, one inspection, and one release", and improving the international logistics efficiency of inland enterprises. Relying on the Beijing Kowloon Railway, Wuhan Kowloon Railway, and expressway network, Jiujiang Port actively develops intermodal transportation of iron and water, and has built a comprehensive logistics system covering Jiangxi and surrounding areas such as Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, and Fujian. Imported resources such as ore, coal, and non-ferrous metals can be quickly transported to the central manufacturing base through ports, while exported goods such as ceramics, copper products, machinery and equipment, and chemical products from Jiangxi can also be efficiently transported to the international market through river sea intermodal transportation. In recent years, Jiujiang Port has continuously promoted the integration of port resources, the construction of smart ports, and green and low-carbon development, and the comprehensive service capacity of the port has been continuously improved. With the three major transportation advantages of the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, Poyang Lake Water System, and Beijing Kowloon Railway, as well as the integrated operation system of Jiangxi Port Group, Jiujiang Port has developed into the most important international water transportation gateway in Jiangxi Province and a modern comprehensive logistics hub with significant influence in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. It plays an important role in serving the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the rise of the central region, and Jiangxi's high-level opening-up to the outside world.
