The Port of Yantai is located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, China. It is situated in the northeast of the Shandong Peninsula, at the intersection of the Bohai Bay and the Yellow Sea. It is a national first-class open port and one of the major coastal ports in China. The port standard code is CNYNT, jointly managed by Qingdao Customs (Yantai Customs), Shandong Maritime Bureau (Yantai Maritime Bureau), Yantai Transportation Bureau and other units, mainly operated by Shandong Port Group Yantai Port Group Co., Ltd. Yantai Port has superior natural deep-water harbor conditions and is one of the closest coastal ports in China to Japan and South Korea. It is also an important international shipping node connecting Northeast Asia and the Bohai Rim Economic Circle. The port relies on the geographical advantages of the Shandong Peninsula and maintains efficient connectivity with the Shandong Peninsula, Beijing Tianjin Hebei, and the Yellow River Basin through comprehensive transportation networks such as the Rongwu Expressway, Shenhai Expressway, Lanyan Railway, and Longyan Railway.
