Yueyang Port is located in Yueyang City, Hunan Province, at the confluence of the Yangtze River and Dongting Lake. It is a national first-class open port and the only international trade and water transportation hub port in Hunan Province. The port, with Chenglingji Port Area as its core, has complete port functions such as container, bulk cargo, general cargo, and bonded logistics. Port Overview Yueyang Port is located on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. It is a gateway port for the four rivers of Hunan (Xiangjiang, Zijiang, Yuanjiang, and Lishui) to flow into the Yangtze River, and an important distribution center for the import and export of waterway goods in Hunan Province. The port is composed of multiple ports such as Chenglingji Port Area, Songyanghu Port Area, and Daorenji Port Area. Among them, Chenglingji Port Area undertakes the vast majority of international container transportation and foreign trade business in Hong Kong, and is the most important modern port area in Hunan Province. The port relies on the unified operation and management of Hunan Port and Shipping Group, with modern container terminals, multi-purpose bulk cargo terminals, and professional logistics parks, as well as supporting comprehensive bonded zones and China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Yueyang area, forming a comprehensive logistics system for the coordinated development of ports, bonded zones, logistics, and industry. Yueyang Port has a relatively complete qualification for designated import supervision ports among domestic river ports in China. It can carry out import of whole vehicles, grain, meat, fruits, and frozen aquatic products, and provide bonded warehousing, international logistics, multimodal transport, and supply chain services, providing important support for the outward oriented economic development of Hunan and the central region. Airline routes and logistics networks Yueyang Port has formed a comprehensive transportation network covering the Yangtze River Basin, coastal ports, and international markets, and is an important hub for Hunan's river sea intermodal transportation. River sea intermodal transportation is the most representative mode of transportation in Yueyang Port. The port has opened container ships to ports along the Yangtze River such as Shanghai Port, Taicang Port, Wuhan Port, and Nanjing Port. Foreign trade goods can be cleared at Chenglingji Port Area and transported to coastal ports through river sea intermodal transportation to be loaded onto ocean going vessels, achieving convenient shipping of Hunan goods. Relying on the Dongting Lake water system, Yueyang Port also undertakes the function of water transportation distribution in Hunan Province, connecting ports such as Changsha Port, Changde Port, and Hengyang Port, and transporting goods from the province to the Yangtze River trunk line. It is an important transit center for water transportation in Hunan Province.
