Port Introduction
Port on the northwest coast of Jamaica. The load density of water is 1026. The tidal range is 0.25 meters. The prevailing northeast wind. The port is a mandatory pilotage area, and after receiving the estimated arrival time of the ship, the port authorities arrange for a navigator to pick up the ship for navigation. The navigation station uses radio very high frequency channel 11 for communication, Kingston radio channel 16, and calls "KNRD0671". The port can be accessed day and night, with an average tidal fluctuation of 0.25 meters. There is no trend in the harbor. Occasionally from January to February each year, there are 2-3 days of blizzards known as' Northern Gales'. Even if anchored in the anchorage, safety cannot be guaranteed, but there are actually no waves at the front of the berth. The port service facilities include small boats, medical care, fresh water, supplies and repatriation, without ship repair, refueling, dry dock, towing and sewage discharge. It is 182.88 meters long and has a water depth of 10.67 meters at the forefront. Loading and unloading of goods by onboard equipment. There is one 2300 square meter warehouse and one 3000 cubic meter refrigerated warehouse on the berth. Berth 3 is a roll on/roll off ship berth, with a length of 179.22 meters and a front draft depth of 7.62 meters. Berth 4 is also used as a roll on/roll off ship berth, with a length of 118 meters and a front draft depth of 7.62 meters. There are 526 hectares of open-air storage yards on these two berths, connected to a 200 hectares duty-free shopping center by a 60.96 meter long path. Berth 2 is also used as an oil tanker berth, and oil tankers docked at the front of this berth need to submit a certificate of no combustible gas.
