Port Introduction

The Port of Laiwu is located in Laiwu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It is an important component of the inland waterway transportation system north of Jining on the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal and a regional comprehensive port in the layout of inland ports in Shandong Province. The port relies on the Xiaoqing River Resumption Project and the regional comprehensive transportation network, mainly undertaking the transportation of goods such as building materials, steel, coal, ore, grain, and containers. It is an important inland logistics node serving the manufacturing industry and modern logistics development in the central Shandong region. Port Area Layout: Laiwu Port is constructed according to the positioning of a comprehensive logistics port, mainly including: Comprehensive operation area: responsible for container, general cargo, and bulk cargo loading and unloading operations. Bulk cargo terminal: serving the transportation of bulk goods such as steel, ore, coal, sand and gravel, cement, etc. Logistics warehousing area: providing warehousing, transit, distribution, and supply chain logistics services. Enterprise specific dock: supporting logistics needs for industries such as steel, new materials, and equipment manufacturing. Airline routes and logistics networks Laiwu Port relies on the Shandong inland waterway transportation system to form a regional multimodal transport network. Inland transportation: Connect Jinan Port, Binzhou Port, and Bohai coastal ports through the Xiaoqing River waterway. Haihe Intermodal Transport: Leveraging the Xiaoqing River to achieve intermodal transport with ports such as Dongying Port and Weifang Port, further connecting domestic coastal routes. Public railway intermodal transportation: Combining highways and railway networks to achieve efficient collection and distribution of goods in the central Shandong region. Port advantages: Laiwu Port relies on the industrial foundation of Luzhong and the development strategy of inland waterway transportation in Shandong, and has obvious advantages in the transportation of bulk goods such as steel, building materials, and mineral products. With the resumption of navigation on the Xiaoqing River and the continuous improvement of the inland shipping system in Shandong, the port is gradually developing into an important comprehensive logistics node connecting the industrial hinterland of central Shandong and the coastal ports of Shandong.
