Port Introduction
The Port of Chongming is located in Chongming District, Shanghai, at the mouth of the Yangtze River. It is an important node port between the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Shanghai International Shipping Center. Relying on the golden waterway of the Yangtze River and the advantageous location of Chongming Island, the port mainly undertakes inland transportation, coastal passenger and freight transportation, roll on/roll off transportation, and regional logistics distribution functions. It is an important comprehensive port serving the construction of Chongming's world-class ecological island. Port Area Layout Chongming Port consists of multiple port areas and passenger and freight terminals, mainly including: Nanmen Port Area: The main passenger and freight transportation terminal on Chongming Island, responsible for roll on/roll off transportation and passenger routes. Xinhe Port Area: Serving the transportation of freight, building materials, and daily necessities in the service area. Baozhen Port Area: undertakes inland and coastal freight, transit logistics and other businesses.
