Port Introduction

Gaoming Port (UN/LOCODE: NGOM) Gaoming Port, located in Gaoming District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, is an important part of Foshan Port and an important inland port along the west wing of the the Pearl River Delta and the golden waterway of the Xijiang River. Relying on its superior location conditions, developed water and land transportation network, and industrial cluster advantages in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Gaoming Port has gradually developed into a modern comprehensive logistics hub integrating container transportation, general cargo loading and unloading, bulk cargo transit, bonded logistics, and supply chain services. It plays an important role in connecting the core economic zone of the Pearl River Delta with the logistics systems in southern and southwestern China. Gaoming Port is located along the main waterway of the Xijiang River, with excellent shipping conditions and a vast economic hinterland. The port connects Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and other international shipping hubs to the east, and radiates Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Guangxi, Guizhou and other regions to the west. It is one of the important cargo circulation nodes in the the Pearl River basin. Relying on the Xijiang Golden Waterway and regional comprehensive transportation system, the port has formed a convenient and efficient river sea intermodal network, undertaking important transportation and transit functions for regional industrial products, container goods, and bulk raw materials. The port area takes Gaoming the Pearl River Terminal as the core operation area, and Foshan Gaoming the Pearl River Freight Terminal Co., Ltd. and relevant port operation enterprises are responsible for operation and management. The port area has multiple specialized berths that can meet the normal berthing needs of inland ships ranging from 3000 to 5000 tons, and is equipped with container loading and unloading equipment, modern yard management systems, and information-based logistics platforms. Relying on continuously improving port infrastructure, Gaoming Port can provide comprehensive services such as container loading and unloading, cargo consolidation, warehousing and distribution, bonded logistics, transit transportation, and supply chain management, providing efficient and convenient logistics solutions for enterprises. As an important component of the country's open port system, Gaoming Port has comprehensive port service functions. The port area relies on Guangzhou Customs' Foshan Customs Office in Gaoming, Foshan Maritime Bureau, Foshan Transportation Bureau and other regulatory agencies to carry out import and export goods declaration, inspection, release and other businesses, providing standardized and efficient customs clearance services for enterprises. At the same time, the construction of storage facilities and bonded logistics functional zones in the port area has further enhanced the regional logistics distribution and supply chain service capabilities. In terms of route layout, Gaoming Port has formed an important transportation network covering major ports in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the Xijiang River Basin. The port area actively participates in the construction of the "Combined Port" in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and maintains stable intermodal cooperation with international hub ports such as Nansha Port in Guangzhou, Shekou Port in Shenzhen, and Yantian Port in Shenzhen. Enterprises can complete customs declaration, inspection, and release procedures at Gaoming Port, seamlessly connecting international ocean routes through high-frequency barge transportation, achieving coordinated operation of logistics and customs clearance services between ports, effectively reducing logistics costs and improving transportation efficiency. Gaoming Port has long served industries such as household appliances, equipment manufacturing, new materials, metal products, textiles and clothing, and building materials processing, providing stable and reliable logistics support for manufacturing enterprises in Foshan and surrounding areas. At the same time, ports also undertake the distribution and transit transportation tasks of bulk goods such as steel, mineral products, and industrial raw materials, playing an important role in promoting the coordinated development of regional industrial chains and the construction of an outward oriented economy. With the continuous promotion of the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and the development strategy of the Xijiang Golden Waterway, Gaoming Port is constantly improving its port facilities and comprehensive logistics service system, actively promoting the construction of smart ports, multimodal transport, and green ports. In the future, Gaoming Port will further play an important role as a bridge connecting the manufacturing base of the Pearl River Delta, the Xijiang Economic Belt, and the international shipping network, continuously improving the efficiency of river sea intermodal transportation and supply chain services, and creating an important modern logistics hub radiating to southern and southwestern China.
