Waves: Guangzhou Port is nearly one hundred kilometers away from the Pearl River Estuary. The sea waves gradually dissipate energy due to the influence of riverbed, terrain and water depth. The port area is basically an inland port. The water area in other areas is generally 1~2 kilometers wide, and the maximum width is 3 kilometers. The wind and waves are not big. Guangzhou Port is located at the northern end of the the Pearl River Delta, at the junction of the east, west and north rivers of the the Pearl River Basin, 145 kilometers away from the sea. Entering the port from the the Pearl River Estuary, you can find Humen Outer Port Area, Xinsha Port Area, Huangpu Port Area and Inner Port Area in turn. There are currently 643 berths of various sizes, including 46 berths of over 10000 tons.
