Comprehensive Overview of the Port Port of Huangpu, located along the main channel of the Pearl River in the east of Guangzhou, is an important part of Guangzhou Port and one of the comprehensive port areas with the longest history and most perfect functions in South China. Relying on the manufacturing cluster in the the Pearl River Delta and the economic hinterland of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Huangpu Port has long assumed the important functions of domestic trade logistics, offshore transportation and bulk material distribution in South China. The port has obvious location advantages, connecting Guangzhou city center to the west and Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and Dongguan Industrial Belt to the east, forming a logistics service network covering the core manufacturing area of the Pearl River Delta. Relying on a well-established system of highways, railways, and water transportation, Huangpu Port has developed into a modern comprehensive port area that integrates port loading and unloading, warehousing and logistics, bonded services, multimodal transport, and supply chain management. Core facilities and functional layout Huangpu Port has formed a functional layout of "old port area+new port area" coordinated development. Laogang District, represented by Wuchong Port and Dagang Port, focuses on developing domestic container transportation, offshore shipping, and steel and general cargo loading and unloading businesses. Among them, Wuchong Port is an important domestic container distribution center in southern China, undertaking a large amount of coastal transportation and regional logistics business. Xingang District focuses on developing bulk grain, energy materials, and bonded warehousing businesses, building a modern river sea intermodal logistics base, and providing stable and efficient logistics support for grain and oil processing, energy supply, and industrial manufacturing enterprises.
