Port Introduction

Australian commercial port. Located at the mouth of the Swan River in southwest Western Australia, southwest of Perth, the port is divided into inner and outer ports. The inner harbor is located at the mouth of the Sven River, expanding into a harbor basin area based on the river, extending more than 2 kilometers northeast to southwest, with a water depth of over 11 meters inside the harbor; The southeast coast is Victoria Harbour, with 8 berths and a total length of 1633 meters. Among them, G and H berths are for passenger loading and unloading, while the northwest coast is North Harbour, with a total length of 1790 meters and 12 berths. Among them, berths 1, 2, 6-8, 11, and 12 are for container loading and unloading. Almost all of the 120000 TEUs loaded and unloaded at the port in the late 1980s were done here. The outer port includes the coastline outside the estuary, especially on the east coast of Coburn Bay to the south of the estuary, with the wind blocking of Gerden Island. There are bauxite smelting plant docks (2 berths), steel plant docks (2 berths), oil refinery docks (3 berths), fertilizer plant docks (2 berths), grain and other bulk cargo docks, etc. The total length of the dock line is 1687 meters, and the front water depth is 11-16 meters. It is the most important bulk cargo port area in Hong Kong, serving industrial enterprises. There are about 30 deep-water berths in Hong Kong, with a cargo throughput of 17.37 million tons, including over 1500 tons of dry and wet bulk cargo, 5.03 million tons of imported crude oil, ore, coal, industrial products, and general merchandise; Exporting grains, livestock products, etc., the sea route is 211 nautical miles northwest of Geraldton Port, 1760 nautical miles northwest of Jakarta, Indonesia, 3120 nautical miles northwest of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and 4900 nautical miles northwest of Aden; 4950 nautical miles west to Cape Town, South Africa; South to Albany Port 368 nautical miles, to Melbourne 1625 nautical miles. Hong Kong City once translated 'Pei Si'.
