Port Introduction

Australian commercial port. Located on the southwest coast of the country, adjacent to the South Indian Ocean and the Bay of Champaign. 211 nautical miles south of Fremantle Port, 647 nautical miles north of Dampier Port, 1237 nautical miles from Lombok Strait, and 1490 nautical miles from Sunda Strait. To the north of Morey Point in the western part of the port area, there is a breakwater that extends north, then turns east, and finally turns north, known as the West Breakwater. The equivalent entrance is surrounded by a short East Breakwater to the east, with a width of 180 meters and a depth of 10 meters. The port is divided into a western fishing port and an eastern commercial port, with a northeast protruding dike as the boundary. There are 5 berths in the commercial port area, including 4 along the shore. Berths 1-3 are 167 meters long from east, with a water depth of 9.4-9.75 meters. Berth 1 is used for loading and unloading general cargo, and there is a warehouse with a capacity of 1000 tons on the dock. Berths 2 and 3 are used for loading and unloading oil, bulk cargo, and loose grain. There are two loading and unloading machines on the dock, each with a unloading capacity of 400 tons per hour; Berth 4 is 181 meters long and 9.4 meters deep, used for loading and unloading general cargo and mineral sand. The efficiency of the mineral sand loader can reach 1000 tons per hour. Berth 5 is located on the east side of the pier, 213 meters long and 9.4 meters deep, used for loading and unloading general cargo and containers. There are 26-80 ton shore cranes on the dock. The port has an annual throughput of over 1.5 million tons and is an export port for gold mines in the inland Murchison region and iron ore in the Kolanoka region, as well as an import port for daily necessities.
