Port Introduction
Australian commercial port. Located on the southeast coast of Tasmania Island in the southeast of the country, Storm Bay is situated on the west bank of the mouth of the De Winter River, at the eastern corner of the port city, facing the Takiman Sea. The port area extends from north to south, with the docks mainly located along the coast of Suliwen Bay. On the south bank is the Taizi Dock, which has four berths with a total length of over 500 meters and a water depth of 7.4-12.4 meters. It increases in depth from west to east and is mainly used for vehicles to board and disembark. The second berth is also used for bulk cargo, with grain storage equipment at the rear; The west bank is composed of a pier and a waterfront dock, mainly the Elizabeth Pier, which is 153 meters long and 7-11 meters deep, suitable for special vehicle loading and unloading, commonly used for loading, unloading, and storage of vehicles. The north bank is the Ma Kuo Li 1-3 berths, with a total length of 497 meters and a water depth of 6.2-14.6 meters, gradually deepening from southwest to east. The first berth is used for general cargo, and the second berth has a huge refrigerated warehouse on the dock, commonly used for loading and unloading long-distance frozen goods; In the northern part of the port area are berths 4-6 in Makuoli, with berth 4 being 244 meters long and 12.6 meters deep, used for loading and unloading containers and general cargo. Berths 5 and 6 are 324 meters long and 10.1-13.6 meters deep, mainly used for vehicle loading and unloading. The oil terminal is located at Sliff Point on the south bank of the Outer Harbor New Bay; In addition, about 3 nautical miles north of New Bay in RISDON, there is also a 400 meter dock for the electrolytic zinc company, with a front water depth of 10 meters. There are more than 10 deep-water berths in Hong Kong, and the parking spaces for vehicles are mostly unique, mainly used to travel between the mainland and islands. Outside the port, the sea route is 470 nautical miles to Melbourne and 635 nautical miles to Sydney.
