Port Introduction

Australian commercial port. Located on the southern coast of the eastern part of the north facing cape at the southwest end of the country, west of the port city, facing the southern Indian Ocean. It is about 290 nautical miles southeast of Albany, about 1300 nautical miles east of Adelaide Port, about 80 nautical miles north of Fremantle, about 1300 nautical miles from the Lombok Strait, about 80 nautical miles north of Fremantle, about 1520 nautical miles from the Lombok Strait, and 1770 nautical miles from the Sunda Strait. The port area is divided into inner and outer ports. The inner harbor is located around the sunken land bank of the harbor, with three berths currently available. Berths 1 and 2 are on the southwest bank of the harbor, measuring 380 meters and 240 meters respectively, with a water depth of 11.6-12.2 meters, used for loading and unloading sawdust, oil, general cargo, and containers. Berth A is on the northeast bank of the harbor, measuring 240 meters in length and 11.6 meters in water depth, and is a general berth with an efficiency of 2000 tons per hour for bulk cargo loaders. The outer port is located within a cape extending northward, with a winding embankment extending almost parallel to the cape from the land shore. There are two berths on each side of the top of the embankment, with two berths on the east side each measuring 240 meters long and with a water depth of 7.6-8.7 meters. It is used for loading mineral sand and bulk grain, and the transportation capacity of the mineral sand berth is 250 tons per hour; The two berths on the west side are used for loading and unloading general cargo. Export of timber, wheat, alumina, steel, etc. from ports; Import petroleum, machinery, general merchandise, etc.
