Port Introduction

Located on the northwest coast of Algeria (full name: The DEMOCRATIC PEOPL E'S REPUBLIC OF ALGERIA), on the northwest coast of the Gulf of Alzhe, adjacent to the southwest side of the Mediterranean Sea, it is Algeria's oil export port. The port has an 801km long oil pipeline leading directly to the oil producing area of Hassi Messaoud, with an annual oil transportation capacity of approximately 20 million tons. Alze has an annual refining capacity of 3 million tons. The port is approximately 50km away from Oran International Airport and has regular flights to destinations around the world. The port has a subtropical Mediterranean climate, with prevailing westerly winds in winter and mainly northeasterly winds in summer. The annual average temperature is about 25 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 500mm. The average tidal range is about 0.3m. There are mainly 17 berths at the oil tanker terminal in the port area, with a maximum water depth of 26.5m, which can accommodate oil tankers of 250000 deadweight tons. The dock has oil pipelines with a diameter of 200-700mm for loading and unloading oil, and the maximum power of tugboats is 2580kW. The loading and unloading efficiency is 5600 tons per hour. The maximum capacity of the oil tank is 50000 tons. There are also 5 general cargo berths with a shoreline length of 258 meters and a maximum water depth of 8 meters. In addition to crude oil, the main exported goods include hay and vegetables, while the imported goods mainly include petroleum products, building materials, sulfur, and general cargo.
