Port Introduction
Papua New Guinea Commercial Port. Located at the northeast end of New Britain Island in the eastern part of the country, at the northern tip of SINPSONS Bay, the port city faces the Bay of Braunschweig on three sides. 448 nautical miles west of Lae Port, 945 nautical miles southwest of the capital city of Moresby Port, 319 nautical miles southeast of Kiata Port, and 1844 nautical miles south of Sydney Port in New Zealand; The port area extends southwest northeast and has several frame style docks, but only two berths for ocean going vessels.
