Port Introduction

Port Standard Code (UN/LOCODE): CNSWE Port management agencies: Shanwei Customs, Guangdong Maritime Bureau Shanwei Maritime Bureau, Shanwei Transportation Bureau (Port and Shipping Management Department) Terminal operation entities: Shenzhen Yantian Port Group, local port and shipping enterprises in Shanwei, and large-scale energy and marine dedicated terminal operation units Port Area Address: Coastal Area of Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, China (including Shanwei Port Area, Magong Port Area, Honghai Bay Port Area, and Xiaomo International Logistics Port) Port attribute: Medium to large coastal deep-water port (Seaport/Deep Water Port), with comprehensive operational capabilities for roll on/roll off vehicles, bulk cargo, heavy equipment, and general cargo. Comprehensive Overview of the Port The Port of Shanwei is located on the southeast coast of Guangdong Province, connecting the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area with the Economic Zone on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait. It is an important open port and emerging comprehensive port in eastern Guangdong. In recent years, with the accelerated construction of the Shenzhen Shantou Special Cooperation Zone and the rapid development of the new energy industry, Shanwei Port has gradually transformed from a traditional fishing port and regional port to a modern deep-water port. The port has excellent natural harbor conditions and relies on comprehensive transportation networks such as Shenhai Expressway, Yongguan Expressway, Xiamen Shenzhen Railway, and Guangshan High speed Railway to form an important logistics channel connecting the Pearl River Delta, eastern Guangdong, and inland areas. Currently, the port focuses on serving new energy vehicles, offshore wind power equipment, energy materials, and the development of modern marine industries, becoming an important emerging gateway for Guangdong's eastern region to go global. Core facilities and functional layout Shanwei Port has formed a layout system of "coordinated development of multiple port areas". Among them, Xiaomo International Logistics Port is the most strategically significant development platform of the port, located in the Shenzhen Shantou Special Cooperation Zone and constructed and operated by Yantian Port Group. The port area has large deep-water roll on/roll off berths and modern automotive logistics facilities, and has become an important export base for new energy vehicles in southern China. The Honghai Bay Port Area focuses on the transportation of coal, ore, and energy materials, and is an important support platform for regional energy supply; Magong Port Area and the traditional Shanwei Port Area are gradually upgrading their functions to include marine engineering equipment, cold chain logistics, and modern marine industry services. The port area is equipped with a large roll on/roll off parking lot, professional heavy cargo loading and unloading equipment, modern warehousing facilities, and a smart port supervision system, which can meet the needs of automobile export, wind power equipment transportation, bulk cargo transshipment, and comprehensive logistics services. Airline routes and intermodal networks In recent years, Shanwei Port has gradually built a shipping network system characterized by the export of new energy vehicles and the transportation of marine equipment. In terms of roll on/roll off transportation, Xiaomo International Logistics Port has opened international roll on/roll off routes to Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South America, becoming one of the important nodes for China's new energy vehicle exports. A large number of new energy vehicles are exported from Shanwei Port to overseas markets through roll on/roll off ships, providing important support for the internationalization of China's automotive industry. In terms of regional coordination, a close linkage mechanism has been established between the port and Yantian Port, achieving shipping resource sharing, customs clearance coordination, and logistics connection through models such as the "Yantian Xiaomo Combination Port", further integrating into the international shipping system of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. At the same time, relying on the Guangdong coastal offshore wind power industry cluster, Shanwei Port has built a professional heavy cargo transportation system, which can achieve efficient connection of wind turbine blades, tower tubes, and offshore equipment from the manufacturing base to the dock loading, forming a distinctive "port+offshore equipment manufacturing" intermodal transportation mode. Comprehensive positioning With the development opportunities of the Shenzhen Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, the radiation advantages of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and the demand support brought by the rapid growth of new energy and offshore wind power industries, Shanwei Port is accelerating its growth into an important new energy vehicle export port and marine engineering equipment transportation base in southern China. In the future, the port will continue to enhance its influence in the fields of green energy logistics, automotive roll on/roll off transportation, and modern marine industry services, becoming one of the most promising modern comprehensive ports along the eastern coast of Guangdong.
