Port Introduction
Port Standard Code (UN/LOCODE): CNMMI Port management agencies: Maoming Customs, Zhanjiang Maritime Bureau (Maoming Maritime Bureau), Maoming Port and Shipping Management Department Terminal operating entities: Maoming Port Group Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Maoming Branch's dedicated terminal entities Port Area Address: Along the coast of Maoming City, Guangdong Province, China (Bohe New Port Area, Shuidong Port Area, etc.) Port attributes: Seaport/Deep Water Port, Large Port, Supporting Liquid Chemical, Bulk Cargo, and Container Professional Terminals (Terminals: Yes) Comprehensive Overview of the Port The Port of Maoming (CNMMI) is located on the coast of the South China Sea and in the southwest of Guangdong Province. It is a national first-class open port and an important energy and liquid chemical hub port in southern China. The port is located at the intersection of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, and the Hainan Free Trade Port, relying on Maoming, a national level petrochemical base, to form a strong industrial support. The port is backed by the Shenhai Expressway, Shanzhan Expressway, Shugang Railway, and long-distance pipeline network system, and is an important overseas channel for the energy and industrial raw material supply chain in South China. The port area implements a "one port, multiple zones" layout, mainly including Bohe New Port Area, Shuidong Port Area, and Jeddah Port Area. Among them, Bohe New Port Area is the core deep-water port area, which can reliably dock 100000 to 300000 ton oil tankers and bulk carriers, equipped with large bulk cargo unloaders, fully enclosed transportation systems, crude oil and chemical storage tank areas, and modern storage yards, and has a customs intelligent supervision system. Shuidong Port Area mainly focuses on traditional oil and gas and chemical transportation, while Jeddah Port Area focuses on new chemical and port related industry services. The port focuses on serving the petrochemical, grain and oil, building materials, non-ferrous metals, and power energy industries, and is an important "energy and industrial raw material artery" in South China. Airline routes and intermodal networks Maoming Port has established a global oil and chemical transportation route and regional intermodal transportation system. The foreign trade routes connect the Middle East, Russia, Southeast Asia and other major sources of crude oil and chemicals, and VLCC and chemical ships are normally berthed. Domestically, through the high-frequency linkage of coastal branches, Guangzhou Nansha Port, Shenzhen Shekou Port, Zhanjiang Port, etc., the integration of foreign trade container transportation and data clearance has been achieved. In terms of multimodal transportation, ports rely on the "port railway+long-distance pipeline+highway" system to form an efficient network. Coal and ore are transported by railway to the western Guangdong and southwestern hinterland, while crude oil and chemicals are transported directly to the petrochemical park through pipelines, significantly improving the efficiency of energy and raw material transportation and ensuring the stability of the regional industrial chain. Comprehensive positioning With the advantages of deep water coastline, three strategic intersection locations, and support from petrochemical industry clusters, Maoming Port has developed into an important energy based comprehensive logistics hub along the southern coast of China, playing a key strategic role in regional multimodal transport and industrial supply chain systems.
