It is a national first-class open port and an important natural deep-water port and core outlet for the new energy industry in northeastern Fujian. The port is located at the coastal passage node between the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The Sansha Bay Port Area has the natural advantage of being a deep-water harbor with a small mouth and large belly, no siltation or freezing, and superior wind shelter conditions. By relying on the Shenhai Expressway, LiNing Expressway, Wenfu Railway, and the Shugang Special Line, a comprehensive logistics channel facing East China and inland areas has been formed.
