Chengdu Port is located in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and is an important component of Chengdu's comprehensive transportation system. It is also an important node in the inland waterway transportation system of Sichuan Province. Unlike the ports along the Yangtze River, Chengdu Port is not a traditional large-scale cargo port, but a comprehensive inland port built on the Minjiang River, Tuojiang River, and lake waters within Chengdu. Its main development directions are tourism passenger transportation, water public transportation, and urban waterfront economy, while also considering regional cargo transportation functions. Chengdu Port relies on the developed transportation network of the Chengdu Plain, connecting the Chengdu Chongqing Expressway, Chengdu South Expressway, Chengdu metropolitan area expressway network, and national railway network by land. It can form linkage with comprehensive transportation hubs such as Chengdu International Railway Port, Shuangliu International Airport, and Tianfu International Airport, providing supplementary support for the regional comprehensive transportation system. According to the "Overall Plan of Chengdu Port", Chengdu Port is constructed according to the overall layout of "Two Rivers and One Lake", forming a development pattern with Jinjiang Port Area, Tuojiang Port Area, and Sanchahu Port Area as the main body, and other ports as supplements. Multiple passenger and freight terminals and supporting facilities are planned in total. Jinjiang Port Area (Core Port Area) Jinjiang Port Area is located in the central urban area of Chengdu and is the most representative port area of Chengdu Port. The port area focuses on developing tourism passenger transportation, water transportation, urban leisure shipping, and cultural tourism supporting facilities, and undertakes the important functions of showcasing Chengdu's urban image and developing the waterfront economy. Tuojiang Port Area The Tuojiang Port Area mainly undertakes regional freight and tourism transportation functions, while also taking into account some logistics transportation needs, and is an important port carrier for the development of the Chengdu Eastern New Area. Sanchahu Port Area Relying on the high-quality ecological resources of Sancha Lake, we will focus on developing tourism passenger transportation, water leisure, conference and exhibition, and cultural tourism industries, providing supporting support for Chengdu's construction as an international tourism city. In recent years, Chengdu Port has continuously promoted the construction of a smart port, improved terminal management, tourism services, water safety supervision, and digital operation platforms, and continuously enhanced the comprehensive service capabilities of the port.
