Aojiang Port is located in Aojiang Town, Pingyang County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is situated at the mouth of the Aojiang River and is an important port with a long history along the southern coast of Zhejiang Province. It is also an important gateway for the Aojiang River basin to connect with the East China Sea. The port relies on the Aojiang waterway and has long been responsible for the transportation of industrial raw materials, agricultural and sideline products, building materials, and daily necessities in the southern part of Wenzhou, Pingyang, Cangnan, and surrounding areas. It is an important component of the comprehensive transportation system in southern Zhejiang. The north bank of Aojiang Port is Aojiang Town in Pingyang County, and the south bank is Longgang City. The two banks together form the Aojiang Port Area. The port area can be connected to various parts of southern Zhejiang through transportation networks such as the Yongtaiwen Expressway, National Highway 228, and Wenzhou Fuzhou Railway, and can also be connected to coastal ports such as Ningbo, Shanghai, Fuzhou, and Xiamen through sea transportation, possessing the advantage of river sea intermodal transportation.
