Port Introduction

Australian bauxite export port. Located in the northwest end of the York Peninsula in the northern part of the country, within the ALBATROSS Bay, it borders the Alafra Sea to the west and the Torres Strait to the northeast. The port area is located on the north bank of the EMBLEY estuary, with the following main docks: LORIN Corner Pier, which is a "T" - shaped protruding embankment with two berths at the top: a new berth in the southeast, 310 meters long; The northwest is an old berth with a length of 250 meters and a water depth of up to 12.5 meters. It is used for loading bauxite and porcelain clay for export. The efficiency of the ship loader is 6000 and 3500 tons per hour respectively, and there is an ore yard at the rear; The EVANS IANDI oil terminal is located southeast of the ore terminal and has a T-shaped protruding embankment. The top berth line is 210 meters long and the water depth is 9.6 meters. It is connected to onshore oil tanks through a 203mm oil pipeline for exporting oil; HUMBAY Corner Wharf, located northwest of the ore wharf, is 207 meters long and 8.1 meters deep, used for the import and export of general cargo. The port mainly serves nearby mines.
