Port Introduction

Australian commercial port. Located on the northwest coast of Spencer Bay in the southern part of the country, the port city faces the southern Indian Ocean to the east. It is 40 nautical miles north of Augusta Port, 30 nautical miles east of Peary Port, 246 nautical miles southeast of Adelaide Port, 661 nautical miles west of Melbourne Port, and 1056 nautical miles west of Albany Port. The port area is divided into an inner port and an outer port. The outer harbor is located in the southeast of the town, with two eastward protruding piers. The southern pier is T-shaped, with an arm length of 683 meters and 6 mooring columns at the top. There are lights at night. The northern pier is arm shaped, and 250 meter long ships can dock on the north side. The water depth at the front of the two docks and the turning area can reach 11.6 meters at low tide. The port mainly exports iron ore from the Ainuobu mining area. The inner harbor is located on the south north bank of the harbor basin, about 1.25 nautical miles north of the outer harbor, with a dock line of over 700 meters. There are three berths in the northeast and one berth on the inner side of the southwest coast. At low tide, the water depth of the harbor is 10.7 meters, and the shipyard is located on the northwest bank of the harbor; The inner port mainly provides urban industrial and residential services, imports coal, coke, limestone, fuel oil, salt, steel, groceries, etc; Exporting steel. The annual throughput of Hong Kong exceeds 3 million tons.
