Port Introduction

Australian commercial port. Located on the south bank of Ross Creek in Cleveland Bay, Queensland, northeast of the country, southeast of the port city, facing the Coral Sea of the South Pacific. Northwest to Cairns, west to the non-ferrous metal mining mine Mount Isa; Outside the port, the sea route extends 430 nautical miles southeast to Grasston Port, 172 nautical miles northwest to Cairns Port, 662 nautical miles to Torres Strait, and 3378 nautical miles to Hong Kong. The dock in the harbor extends northeast in a protruding manner, with a long eastern protruding embankment and a short breakwater running northwest southeast at the top, which embraces the waters inside the harbor with the long western breakwater. There are 9 intermediate and above berths in Hong Kong, with berth 1 located on the inner side of the east breakwater. The oil tanker has a length of 274 meters and a water depth of 12.3 meters. On the west bank of Dongtudi, there are three berths with a length of 247-256 meters and a water depth of 10-11.4 meters. Among them, berth 3 is a container berth with a 60 ton loading and unloading bridge on the dock; Berth 4 is used for vehicle loading and unloading, as well as syrup loading and unloading, with the latter having an efficiency of 400 tons per hour; There are a total of 5 berths along the 3 piers west of the Dongtu Causeway, of which berth 6 is 122 meters long and has a water depth of 8.3 meters along the edge, used for general cargo; Berth 7 has a water depth of 10.7 meters and a length of 183 meters. Used for loading and unloading metal ores, the efficiency of the loading and unloading machine is 1000 tons per hour; Berth 8 is used for loading and unloading refrigerated goods, with a length of 218 meters and a water depth of 9.8 meters. Berth 9 is used for exporting loose sugar, with a length of 230 meters and a water depth of 10.2 meters. The efficiency of the loading and unloading machines on the dock is 1500 tons per hour; The water depth of berth 10 is only 7 meters, and there are 206 hectares of airport land for loading and unloading 25 tons of vehicles on the dock. There is also a small boat dock at the mouth of the Ross River west of the Western Causeway.
