Ś winouj ś cie, [ɕ f ʲ in ɔˈ ui ̯ɕ t ͡ɕɛ]; Swinem ü nde is a port city located in the northwest of Szczecin Province, Poland, on a sandy island between the Szczecin Lagoon at the mouth of the Oder River and the Baltic Sea. In 2004, the population of the city was approximately 44500 people. In German, m ü nde means the mouth of a river, while Swinem ü nde means the mouth of the Swine Canal.
