Port Introduction
Nigerian ports. Located on the west side of the Niger River Delta, with a maximum draft of 6.7 meters and a water carrying density of 1000. The tidal range is around 1.0. The prevailing southwest wind. Pilotage is available, but not mandatory. Communication is conducted through the VHF channel 16. The port service facilities include small motorboats, medical care, fresh water, supplies, repatriation, without ship repair, refueling, dry dock, towing, and sewage discharge. Koko is an increasingly important small port on the banks of the Benin River. The dock is 136.8 meters long and the front water depth is 7.3 meters. For medium-sized ships, the port has good anchorage. The waterway of the sandbar in the river has been dredged to 4.87 meters.
