Port Introduction

Located at the mouth of the Bonny River on the southern coast of Nigeria (full name: THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA), about 27 miles north of Port Harcourt and northwest of the Gulf of Guinea, it is Nigeria's largest oil export port. Founded in 1961, the oil fields are mainly distributed in the delta and coastal continental shelf areas of the Niger River. The export value of crude oil accounts for over 90% of the total export value and is the most important source of Nigeria's foreign exchange income. Transportation is mainly based on highways. The port is about 30km away from the airport and there are regular flights to destinations such as Lagos, London, Rome, and Amsterdam. The port has a hot rainforest climate with prevailing southwest winds. The highest annual average temperature is about 30 ℃, and the lowest is about 20 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 200mm, and the rainy season is from May to October. The high tide rises by 1.9m, the low tide rises by 0.9m, and the average sea level is 1.4m. The main dock berths in Hong Kong are offshore oil berths located about 12 nautical miles from shore, with a maximum draft of 22.8 meters, capable of accommodating super oil tankers with a load capacity of 320000 tons. Equipped with underwater oil pipes with diameters ranging from 711.2 to 1219.2mm, and connected with hoses with diameters ranging from 304.8 to 609.6mm. The loading speed is 6000 tons per hour. A pressure recorder is installed at the junction of the hose and the outlet of the ship's collection pipe. The annual oil loading capacity is about 55 million tons, accounting for half of Nigeria's total oil transportation capacity. Loading and unloading work is a 24-hour continuous operation.
