Port Introduction

New Zealand commercial port. Located on the west coast of the country's North Island, northeast of the port city, adjacent to the Taranaki Bay in the Tasman Sea. It is 510 nautical miles north of Auckland Port, 465 nautical miles south of Whangay Port, and 180 nautical miles south of Wellington Port. The port area is distributed along an arc-shaped coastline, with a main breakwater extending from the west northeast and a pair of breakwaters extending from the east northwest for protection. The eastern port area is an anchorage for small boats, while the western port area has several protruding dikes. This is the main commercial port area, and the main docks include the anti wave dock, which is located on the inner side of the main breakwater, with a length of 122 meters and a water depth of 6.5 meters, where oil supply barges and supply ships dock. The MO TUROA protruding embankment has two berths on the south side that are 260 meters long and 10 meters deep, used for bulk cargo such as urea. The loading and unloading capacity is 5600 tons per hour, and there is one berth on the north side that is 137 meters long and 7.9 meters deep. The NEWTON KING dock is a 366 meter long embankment with a water depth of 11.5 meters, used for loading and unloading fertilizers, caustic soda, asphalt, oil, etc. It has oil pipelines connected to onshore oil depots. BLYDE Port, with a triangular protruding embankment and two berths on the north side, is 426 meters long and 11 meters deep, used for loading and unloading general cargo, containers, etc. The south side has not been developed yet, and the northeast top is 80 meters long, used for fuel supply. There are more than ten intermediate and above berths in Hong Kong, with an annual throughput of over 2 million tons, exporting meat, dairy products, and importing petroleum, fertilizers, etc.
