Port Introduction

Port on the east coast of North Island, New Zealand. The maximum draft is 9.14 meters, and the load density of water is 1025. The tidal range is 1.4 meters, with prevailing northeast to east winds, and west and south winds to northwest winds. Mandatory pilotage for ships with a net tonnage exceeding 100. Unless the captain or his agent holds a pass that exempts navigation. The communication is carried out using radio very high frequency channels 16 and 12, with the call sign "Guisborn Hong Kong and Taiwan". Working hours: 07:00-12:00/13:00-17:00. (Monday to Friday), 07:00-12:00 (Saturday) Depending on the size of the vessel, draft, and weather conditions, sometimes the vessel can dock at the dock at night. Port service facilities include ship repair, dry dock, small boats, medical services, towing, fresh water, supplies, repatriation, non fueling, and sewage discharge. Grocery and bulk cargo berth: berth 1, 116 meters long, with a draft of 5.8 meters; Berth 2, 106 meters long with a draft of 5.8 meters, berth 3, 95 meters long with a draft of 5.8 meters; Berth 6, 122 meters long with a draft of 5.8 meters; Berth 7, with a length of 213 meters and a draft of 9.75 meters, is the main ocean freight berth in the port. Oil tankers usually dock at berth 7 with a maximum draft of 9.14 meters and unload 370 tons of oil per hour.
