Port Introduction
Husavik (Icelandic: H ú sav í k) is a town located in the municipality of Nor ð ur 동 ing in the northeastern region of Iceland. The most famous landmark in town is the wooden Husavik Church, built in 1907. Husavik Airport serves the town and surrounding areas. According to the Landn á mab ó k, Husavik was the first place in Iceland where Norwegians settled. The fishing and tourism industries are the economic pillars of Husavik, which is not only Iceland but also a famous whale watching destination in Europe, named the "European Whale Watching Capital".
