Port Introduction
Guishan Port is located in Guishan Island, Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China, in the western sea area of the Pearl River Estuary, and is an important island port node in Zhuhai coastal port system. The sea area west of the Pearl River Estuary and north of Wanshan Islands is located in the maritime traffic area between Hong Kong, Macao, Zhuhai and cities on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary. The special location of Guishan makes it have obvious characteristics of maritime traffic nodes in the the Pearl River Estuary. Compared with the land ports in the urban area of Zhuhai, Guishan Port is directly located in the island area outside the the Pearl River Estuary, and the port transportation relies more on the connection between the sea channel and the surrounding ports. Port location and shipping Wanshan Islands, where Guishan Port is located, is located at the intersection of the the Pearl River Estuary and the South China Sea. It is an important island group in the western waters of the the Pearl River Estuary. Guishan Island is close to the main channel of the the Pearl River Estuary and international shipping nodes such as Hong Kong and Macao, with a good maritime traffic location. From the data of ship activities, Guishan Port has historical berthing records of various types of ships such as bulk carriers, container ships, oil tankers, liquefied gas carriers, and general cargo ships, indicating that it is not a small island terminal with a single purpose, but a port location with certain comprehensive maritime service attributes. The open ship dynamic data also shows that there are ship traffic records between Guishan Port and the Pearl River Estuary ports such as Hong Kong, Shekou and Shatian. For regional shipping, this position enables Guishan to serve as a transit and berthing node in the west of the Pearl River Estuary and the surrounding waters of Zhuhai. Port functions The function of Guishan Port is closely related to its island location and the shipping environment of the the Pearl River Estuary. The port mainly provides regional berthing, cargo transportation and other services for marine vessels, and connects Zhuhai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and other ports in the the Pearl River Estuary through sea routes. As Guishan is located off the the Pearl River Estuary, the port has the regional advantage of serving maritime transportation and island regional logistics. Compared with large container hub ports, Guishan Port is more suitable for understanding from the perspective of regional shipping nodes and the Pearl River Estuary port network components. Port History Guishan has a certain port history. The existing port code data labels CNGIS as "original second-class port", indicating that Guishan has previously undertaken corresponding external transportation and port functions. It should be noted that the "original second-class port" belongs to the historical port attribute, which does not mean that all business is still carried out according to the original port model. Therefore, when it comes to current international trade, ship entry and exit, and customs supervision business, the latest port management and customs information should be followed. Connection with Zhuhai Port and surrounding ports The sea area where Guishan Port is located is close to the important ports in the the Pearl River Estuary, such as Zhuhai Port, Hong Kong Port, Shenzhen Port, etc., and plays an obvious role as a node in the regional port network. Public ship information shows that there are ship berthing and transportation connections between Guishan and ports such as Shekou and Hong Kong. This location enables Guishan Port to take advantage of the mature port and shipping network in the the Pearl River Estuary to supplement the maritime transportation in Zhuhai and the western sea area of the the Pearl River Estuary. For ship operations and international logistics, CNGIS can also serve as a standard location code for Guishan Port in transportation documents, ship dynamics, and logistics databases. Port Information At present, the disclosure of specific parameters such as the number of berths, dock design throughput capacity, channel level, and maximum berthing vessel type for Guishan Port in public information is not complete, so it is not appropriate to directly speculate on specific values. Some port databases do not even separately list the number of fixed berths and docks, but ship dynamic data can confirm the existence of ongoing ship activities in the port.
