The world’s largest ocean carrier, Maersk, has officially launched its largest contract logistics facility in the Asia-Pacific – the Maersk Extra-Large Distribution Centre (DC) – expanding its warehouse space in Malaysia by over 30%.


Spanning almost 18,000 square metres of total space, the Extra-Large Distribution Centre offers 100,000 pallet locations. As a multi-client shared, it is purpose-built to handle a variety of goods, including Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), food and beverages, footwear, and apparel, among.




Strategically located in Shah Alam, with direct connectivity to multiple major highways, including the PLUS, ELITE Highway, and KESAS, Extra-Large Distribution Centre can seamlessly access key industrial areas, city centres, Port Klang, and Kuala Lumpur International Airport, ensuring optimal transport time for customers. facility is located approximately 340 km from Tanjung Pelepas, Maersk’s main transshipment hubport in Asia.




Maers’s new facility in Malaysia is a key hub in the company’s overall Asia-Pacific network that enables fast and reliable distribution. It moves goods from overseas ports and airports to retailers and consumers via seamless warehousing and last-mile delivery services. Daily trucking lines connect key cities including Perak, Penang, Johor, Melaka, Kota Bharu, while flexible options of sea, air, and land transport provide efficient logistics channels to East Malaysia and the broader Asia market.




The facility equipped with advanced automation systems – including AMR, PTL technology, and ASRS – which can accelerate order fulfillment, shorten delivery times, and improve order accuracy, while reducing human. This reflects our commitment to providing high-performance logistics capabilities for our customers.
