Port Introduction
Located in the northwest side of Benin Bay on the south coast of the the Republic of Togo (the full name of Togo; the Republic of Togo), it is the phosphate export port of Togo. Togo is the largest phosphate producing country in West Africa, with reserves of 160 million tons, ranking seventh in the world. Its high taste ranks among the top in the world, and its annual production ranks third in Africa. Phosphates play a crucial role in Togo's economy, and the income from exporting phosphates is the main source of Togo's economy, accounting for about half of Togo's total export value. The transportation railway line can reach the capital Lom é. The nearest airport to the port is Lom é, with regular flights to Paris and countries in Central and West Africa. The port has a tropical rainforest climate with prevailing southwest winds. The annual average temperature is about 27 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 1600mm, and the rainy season is from March to June and from September to November each year. The average tidal range is about 1.8 meters. The port area mainly has a protruding pier with a shoreline of 180m, connected to the shore by a 1000m long embankment. On the east side of the pier, there is a row of 4 mooring piers for berthing, with a maximum draft of 11.5m and equipped with a conveyor belt for loading phosphate ore. The loading and unloading efficiency is 1250 tons per hour. There is another oil berth located about 0.4n miles east of the pier, with a maximum draft of 8.2m. It is equipped with 200-300mm oil pipelines for loading and unloading. Assisted by mooring boats, the maximum power is 110kW. The annual export of phosphate ore is about 3 million tons. In addition to exporting phosphate ore, imports are mainly petroleum. If necessary during holidays, homework can be arranged, but a joining fee must be paid.
