Port Introduction
Chinese people call it Suotao Yi. Thai military and commercial port. Located at the southeast corner of Bangkok Bay in the southern part of the country, facing the Gulf of Thailand. The distance to the north is 51 nautical miles from Lae Port, 79 nautical miles from Bangkok Port, 329 nautical miles from Songkhla Port to the south, 218 nautical miles from Kampong Thom Port in Cambodia to the southeast, 750 nautical miles from Singapore Port to the northeast, and 1426 nautical miles from Hong Kong. This was originally a military port, and was established as a commercial port in 1967. The commercial port is divided into two port areas. On the southeast coast of Suotaoyi Bay outside the Zusha Meigang District, there are small islands such as Pula Island and Mu Island as its barrier, with superior natural conditions. At present, two docks have been built on the small peninsula protruding westward on the east coast of Mu Island: the west dock has three berths and is 540 meters long. Front water depth of over 12 meters, maximum reliable draft of 10.6 meters for passenger and cargo ships; The North Wharf is 360 meters long, with a water depth of 10 meters, and can reliably accommodate ships with a draft of 8.5 meters. There are 24 ton and 40 ton shore cranes, two belt conveyors, and 30 ton container loading and unloading equipment on the wharf. There is also a protruding embankment south of Ximatou, with a water depth of 11 meters at the forefront. The Hong Kong side plans to reclaim land from the land shore to the west north of the North Pier to form a seawall and pier, and enclose it with the western Mu Island to form a harbor pool. The southeast extension of Mu Island will be protected by a breakwater and an eastern oil pier, forming a complete port area. The other port area of the port is northwest of Shanggang, with a straight line of about 10 kilometers leading to the northwest coast of Bolong Bay, and the barrier of Kran Island to the west. The port area has two piers, each 153 meters long and 183 meters long, with a water depth of 10.4-12.8 meters. The northern pier is long and deep, and is used for commercial purposes.
