Port Introduction
Located in the lower reaches of the Danube River in eastern Romania (full name: Romania ROMANIA), about 92 miles from the mouth of the river, it is Romania's timber and grain export port, as well as a transit port for imported goods from countries in the Danube River basin. About 12 miles north of GALATZ port. The port has a temperate continental climate, with an average annual temperature of about -1 ℃ in January and about 23 ℃ in July. The average annual rainfall is about 500mm. The average tidal range is very small, generally about 0.15-0.3m. The main dock berths in the port area are located on the left bank of the Danube River, with a maximum depth of 35m. The dock is equipped with loading and unloading equipment. The grain storage capacity is about 25000 tons, and there are also sheds and open-air freight yards. The annual cargo throughput capacity is about 5 million tons. The main export goods are timber, grain, and miscellaneous goods.
