Port Introduction

Located at the top of the northern shore of the Oslofjord on the southeast coast of Norway (full name: THE KINGDOM OF NORWAY), adjacent to the northeast side of the SKAGERRAK Strait, it is the second largest port in Norway. It was founded in 1048 and became the capital of Norway from 1814. At present, it is the center of politics, economy, culture, and transportation in the country, as well as the largest industrial center in the country. The industrial output value accounts for more than 1/4 of the total national output value, and the main industries include shipbuilding, machinery, electronics, wood processing, papermaking, textiles, and food; It is also one of the centers for fur processing and export in the world, known as the "capital of fur clothing". The port is about 8km away from the airport and there are regular flights to various destinations in Europe, America, and the Far East. The port has a northern temperate maritime climate, with prevailing west southwest winds and few strong winds. The annual average temperature is about -2 ℃ in winter, with a minimum of -17 ℃, and about 22 ℃ in summer, with a maximum of 28 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 900mm. The average tidal height is 0.4m for high tide and 0.1m for low tide; 0.4m for low tide and 0.2m for low tide. The port is surrounded by mountains, with a wide and deep harbor, making it a natural and excellent harbor. In winter, there is ice in the bay, but it is not frozen in the harbor, which does not affect navigation. The main dock berths in the port area are as follows: Type of berth (s), shoreline length (m), maximum water depth (m) ───────── ────── ────── ────── General Cargo 6 1125 9 BULK CARGO 10 1941 13 Container 8 1450 11 OIL QUAY 7 1330 15 ─── ──── 31 5846 There are various types of loading and unloading equipment, including shore cranes, mobile cranes, container cranes, floating cranes, grain suction machines, and roll on/roll off facilities. Among them, the container crane has a lifting capacity of 35 tons, and the maximum lifting capacity of the floating crane is 100 tons. The container terminal can accommodate ships of 25000 deadweight tons, while the oil terminal can accommodate oil tankers of up to 80000 deadweight tons. Loading and unloading efficiency: It can unload 150 tons of grain per hour. The warehouse and cargo shed have an area of 320000 square meters, and there are also two five story garages. The anchorage of the large ship is good, with a maximum water depth of 20 meters in the western port area. In 1992, the container throughput was 106000 TEUs, and the annual cargo throughput capacity was about 20 million tons. The main export goods include pulp, cardboard, chemical raw materials, fur, explosives, machinery, daily necessities, and chemical products. The main import goods include cotton textiles, fuel, grains, coffee, textile fibers, and transportation equipment. More than half of the imported goods in the country are imported through Hong Kong. Easter Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve are all half holidays during holidays, and overtime is voluntary for workers.
