Port Introduction

New Zealand commercial port. Located on the northeast coast of the country's North Island, southwest of the Bay of Prenti, northeast of the port city, facing the Pacific Ocean. It is 130 nautical miles north of Auckland Port, 1240 nautical miles from Suvar Port, 5520 nautical miles from Yantai Port in China, 1360 nautical miles west of Sydney Port in Australia, and 430 nautical miles south of Wellington Port. The port area is located on the west coast of a northern peninsula. Ships enter the port from the east-west channel of Matakana Island, northwest of the top of the peninsula. The maximum length of incoming ships is 225 meters, with a draft of 10.7 meters at high tide and 9.2 meters at low tide. The dock berths discharge sewage from north to south along the coast, with a total of 10 berths. Each berth is about 200 meters long, with a total length of 1880 meters and a water depth of 9.5-11.6 meters. Among them, berths 4 and 5 are used for roll on/roll off ships, berths 8 and 9 are used for containers, and there are 40 ton multi-purpose cranes on the dock. To the south, there are cement and oil tanker docks, as well as fertilizer docks; There is also a fishing boat dock on the east coast of the Sulp Peninsula in the southwest. There are more than 10 deep-water berths in Hong Kong, with an annual throughput of over 6 million tons, mainly exporting pulp, paper, wood, sawdust, meat, dairy products, and importing petroleum, cement, etc.
