AGADIR

Located on the northeast coast of Agadir Bay on the southwest coast of Morocco (full name: THE KINGDOM OF MOROCO), adjacent to the east side of the Atlantic Ocean, it is Morocco's iron ore export port and one of the main fishing ports. The port was damaged by an earthquake in 19960 and is now composed of castle ruins, as well as the new town to the east of the port and the industrial area to the southeast of the new town. The port also has a sheltered anchorage to avoid northeast and east winds. The port is about 9km away from INEZGANE International Airport and has regular flights. The port has a subtropical Mediterranean climate with prevailing northwest winds. The average temperature in January is about 12 ℃, and in July it is about 24 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 500mm. The average tidal range is about 3.1m. There are 12 main dock berths in the port area, with a shoreline length of 3510m and a maximum water depth of 15m. The loading and unloading equipment includes various shore cranes, floating cranes, forklifts, and tugboats, among which the lifting capacity of the floating crane is 40 tons and the maximum power of the tugboat is 930kW. The main exported goods include iron ore, fish products, and agricultural products, while the imported goods mainly include sugar, cement, grains, food, and building materials.
