Port Introduction
Mexican commercial port. Located downstream of the Jartepec River in the southeastern part of the country, with a maximum draft of 7.92 meters and a water carrying density of 1025. The tidal range is 3.04 meters, with prevailing southwest winds. Compulsory navigation and communication use the VHF 16 channel radio. Port service facilities include medical care, towing, fresh water, supplies, repatriation, no ship repair, refueling, dry dock, small boats, and sewage discharge. At low tide, the water depth on the sandbar is 8.53 meters. The depth of the waterway is 8.53 meters. The anchorage is good, and the mud anchor grips the ground. Before the ship enters the port for loading and unloading, it needs to obtain special permission from the customs of Cochakualkos. There are three oil tanker berths at the Mexican oil tanker terminal, which can be operated using onboard equipment.
