Port Introduction

A deep-water port on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Located in the middle of the west coast of the country, at the mouth of the Balsas River, approximately 150 nautical miles northwest of Massanillo Port and 155 nautical miles southeast of Acapulco Port. There is a highway leading to Mexico City in the northeast, which was a newly built port in the 1970s. The ship enters the port through the waterway between Emilio Island and Kayakar Island outside the river mouth, with a depth of over 14 meters. The port area is mainly distributed on both sides of the water area between the northwest of Emilio Island and the two sides of the river mouth on the opposite bank. By the mid-1980s, there was a 650 meter long land dock line, with a water depth of 14 meters along the edge, serving as a steel and ore dock, and the Mexican steel industry base behind it. On the northwest coast of Emilio Island, there is already a container terminal line of 240 meters and a general cargo terminal line of 150 meters, with a water depth of 14 meters at the forefront. The development plan of the port is to extend southwest along the above dock line. And the waters extending northeast between the eastern port of Kasika Island and the mainland have good conditions for port construction, with islands as a shield outside.
