Port Introduction

Also known as Beppu. The ports of Takasago and IHO in the northwest are collectively referred to as HIGASHI HARIMA. Japanese industrial port. Located in the northeastern part of the Seto Inland Sea, within the borders of Honshu ku Prefecture, on the east coast of the Kaku River estuary, south of the Kaku River. To the east is 21 nautical miles from Kobe Nishi Port, 30 nautical miles from Osaka Port, 56 nautical miles from the Kii Waterway Connection Point, 4 nautical miles from Ibo Port to the west, 9 nautical miles from Himeji Port, 19 nautical miles from Sagami Port, and 217 nautical miles from Moji Port. The port is filled and excavated from the coast, and the main channel for entering the port has been dredged to a depth of 17 meters. The entrance is 450 meters wide and is protected by breakwaters to the east and west. The main docks include: the liquefied petroleum terminal on the inner side of the west breakwater, with a front water depth of 16 meters; The waste dock is located within the west embankment, with a water depth of 11 meters; The South Wharf is located on the north bank of the concave water area west of the entrance channel, mainly for loading and unloading limestone, with a water depth of 7 meters; The coal and mineral sand import terminal has four berths with a length of 200-400 meters and a water depth of 14-17 meters. The terminal is equipped with six 50 ton unloading machines, and behind it are Kobe Steel and Kagawa Steel Plant; The finished product terminal of Kagawa Steel Plant is the west terminal on the east bank of Kagawa in the western part of the steel industry. It has two berths, with a length of 240-270 meters and a water depth of 12 meters. There are four 35 ton shore cranes on the terminal. On the east side of the entrance channel is an artificial island with Harima Public Pier and Kawasaki Heavy Industries land. The port mainly serves the Kagawa Steel Plant, which has an annual production capacity of 11 million tons. All ores and coal are imported, while finished products are mainly exported. Hong Kong was originally an ancient city and a distribution center for agricultural products.
