Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, is the largest city in Southeast Asia and a world-renowned seaport. Jakarta is located on the north coast of western Java Island, at the mouth of the Chiron River, adjacent to Jakarta Bay, with a longitude of 106 ° 49 ′ E and a latitude of 6 ° 10 ′ S. On January 20, 1950, after the establishment of the federal government in Indonesia, Jakarta was renamed Batavia. On March 31, 1950, it was renamed Jakarta City, and in 1961, it was renamed Jakarta Special Zone until now. Jakarta's founding day is June 22nd, and a large-scale commemorative event is held every year on this day.
