PUERTO QUETZAL

PUERTO QUETZAL is located on the southern coast of Guatemala (TEH REPUBLIC OF GUATEMALA), on the west side of the Pacific Ocean. It is a newly built port by Guatemala along the Pacific coast, about 2n miles away from the port of San Jose. The port is about 8km away from the airport. PUERTO QUETZAL has a tropical grassland climate with an average annual temperature of about 20 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 2000mm, and there are storms from June to October, especially at night. Hong Kong is surrounded by east and west breakwaters. There are four main berths in the port area, with a shoreline length of 802 meters and a maximum water depth of 11 meters. There is also a roll on/roll off berth with a ramp of 30 meters and a width of 25.5 meters. The loading and unloading equipment includes various forklifts and tugboats, among which the maximum lifting capacity of forklifts is 36 tons and the maximum power of tugboats is 588 kW. The loading and unloading efficiency is 60 tons of steel products per hour, 20 tons of loading per hour, and 8 containers per hour. The maximum reliable ship capacity at the dock is 30000 deadweight tons. The main export goods are bananas, coffee, cotton, sugar, and meat, while the imported goods mainly include machinery, consumer goods, and building materials.
