In terms of land transportation, the port area is efficiently connected to Shanghai, Suzhou, Nantong, and the core cities of the Yangtze River Delta through the Shanghai Shaanxi Expressway (G40), Ningqi Expressway, National Highway 228, and the Shanghai Suzhou Nantong Yangtze River Highway Railway Bridge. It also relies on coastal railways, highways, and inland waterways to build a comprehensive transportation system covering the Yangtze River Delta and the Yangtze River Economic Belt. As an important gateway for advanced manufacturing, marine equipment, new energy, and modern logistics industries in the Yangtze River Delta, Qidong Port undertakes the important task of transporting regional foreign trade containers, bulk raw materials, wind power equipment, and major equipment.
