Port nature: River port# Longitude and latitude: 22 ° 36'N, 089 ° 31'E# Located in the upper reaches of the PUSUR River in the southwest of Bangladesh (full name: THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF BANGLA DESH), about 57n miles from the mouth of the river and about 16n miles from the upstream KHULNA. Also known as CHALNA Port, it is the second largest port in Bangladesh. The distance between the port and the airport is about 129km。 The port belongs to a tropical monsoon climate, characterized by hot, humid and rainy weather. The average temperature during the rainy season is 30 ℃ (May to October), and during the dry season it is 20 ℃ (November to April). The average annual rainfall is about 2500mm. The average tidal height is 2.9m for high tide and 0.6m for low tide. There are mainly 8 single turn mooring floats and 18 anchorage positions in Hong Kong, which can accommodate 17 ships to stop and load and unload goods at the port. There are also 5 berths newly built at the pier that can accommodate 4 ships of 10000 tons. There are various types of loading and unloading equipment such as shore cranes and tugboats, among which the maximum lifting capacity of the shore crane is 100 tons. The anchorage of the large ship has a water depth of 16m. The annual cargo throughput capacity is about 5 million tons. The main export goods are jute, nuts, and burlap bags, while the imported goods mainly include coal, salt, cement, grain, and machinery.
