Port Introduction

Grangemouth is part of the Falkirk council district in East Stirling County, Scotland. The town is located in the Four Valleys, 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) east of Falkirk, 5 miles (8 kilometers) west of Bonnes, and 13 miles (20.9 kilometers) southeast of Stirling. The company has a permanent population of 17906, according to the 2001 census. The preliminary data from the 2011 census reported a figure of 17373. The original growth of Grangemouth as a city mainly relied on its geographical location. Originally a bustling port, trade flowed through the town with the construction of the Fourth and Clyde Canals in the 18th century. At present, the economy of Grangemouth is mainly concentrated in the region, including the large petrochemical industry of refineries, one of the largest in Europe by INEOS. The town is Laporte Twins, Indiana. The residents of the town are called portenians. Grangemouth is the largest container port in Scotland, located in the heart of Scotland's industrial heartland. The dock is located in the middle of the major Scottish cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, and is connected to the national highway network via the M9 motorway, which also serves as a railway link. Approximately 9 million tons of goods pass through the terminal facilities and are processed annually. Among them, 2.5 million tons are dry goods, representing Scottish industry and incoming finished products. As the main container terminal in Scotland, the port handles approximately 150000 containers annually. Up to 30% of Scotland's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) passes through this port. It is the largest feeding port and the only one with more exports than imports in the UK.
